Essentially, you activate cash back on a website like Nike or Finishline before you make a purchase, and in return you get repaid a percentage of your purchase total. So if you got 10% back on a $100 purchase from Nike, you would get $10 in cash back. Pretty insane right?

There are numerous different cash back platforms, but the two most well known ones are Rakuten and Topcashback (TCB). If you haven't signed up for these yet, it is absolutely essential that you do.

Once you've created accounts with both platforms, make sure to install the corresponding browser extensions so you can easily activate the cash back before making a purchase. Once you have those installed, you'll be automatically notified when a site you're shopping on has cash back available, and you just have to press a button to activate your rewards.
